I am so thankful to truly enjoy and connect with my clients. Every time I shoot at Craftworks, this guy totally impressed me. Sure I don't mind eating Dean Dressler's awesome creations but I admire his talent and professional attitude.

January was a busy month of location photography. With all the travel and time away from the studio, KC the studio cat was looking for extra attention. We do try to be prepared for anything but bringing a cat might be over kill.

I want candy

Location photography can lead you on some interesting adventures. This week we had the privilege to shoot with Leigh Ann Sharp and Kelly Dahl in the middle of Minnesota, with a pit stop at Minnesota's largest candy store. In the midst of this random stop Leigh Ann was dared to pose for a quick photo, I'd say she's a pretty good sport and awfully sporting in the bright orange snow suit!

Set build, it's all an illusion

It's all perception when it comes to shooting product on a set.

It's hard to believe that those comfy little living spaces you see in a catalog or product advertisement are in fact partial rooms held together with stands, clamps, and fishing wire but if the end product is believable then job well done.

Location photography solo has it's challenges and it's not often we go sans assistant but new more compact equipment should make the job more manageable. Besides what photographer doesn't like new gadgets to play with.

It's a really cool thing to see the strong work ethic of an eight year old boy. He may not grow up to run the studio but we have a feeling he'll be pretty successful at whatever he goes after. After all if you give this kid a task he's on it.
